Schlam Stone & Dolan LLP is a boutique law firm dedicated to adding value to our clients’ businesses. We litigate across the country, but our focus is on litigation and appeals in the state and federal courts located in New York City. We have deep roots in the Eastern District of New York. We were founded in 1981 by two senior federal prosecutors from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District—Harvey M. Stone, the Chief of the Appeals Division, and Peter R. Schlam, the Executive Assistant, who was one of the most noted trial lawyers in the Eastern District. In 1982, they were joined by Richard H. Dolan, from the Eastern District’s Civil Division. They have since been joined by Robert L. Begleiter, the former Chief of the Eastern District’s Civil Division and Ronald G. Russo, the former Chief of the Eastern District’s Official Corruption/Special Prosecution Section. For over twenty years, our lawyers have published a regular column for the New York Law Journal that analyzes recent Eastern District cases of doctrinal or practical interest.
